    Ceramic Coating Maintenance Guide

Your vehicle is now protected by a premium Gtechniq ceramic coating. Proper maintenance is essential to ensure it performs perfectly for years to come. Follow these guidelines to keep your paint looking flawless.

The First 7 Days (Curing Period)

While your coating is dry to the touch when you pick up your vehicle, it takes approximately 7 days to fully cure and reach its maximum hardness and chemical resistance.

    • DO NOT wash the vehicle with soap or chemicals for the first 7 days.
    • Avoid parking under trees where bird droppings or tree sap are likely.
    • If bird droppings occur, gently remove them immediately with a damp microfiber cloth and water only. Do not scrub.

    Washing Dos & Don'ts

The golden rules of ceramic coating maintenance.

    What You SHOULD Do

    • Use the Two-Bucket Method: One bucket for soapy water, one bucket with clean water to rinse your mitt. Always use grit guards.
    • Use pH-Neutral Soap: We recommend Gtechniq G-Wash or a similar high-quality, pH-neutral car shampoo without added waxes.
    • Wash in the Shade: Never wash the vehicle in direct sunlight or when the paint is hot to the touch to prevent water spots.
    • Use Premium Microfiber: Only use clean, high-quality microfiber wash mitts and plush microfiber drying towels.

    What You MUST AVOID

    • No Automated Car Washes: Never take your car through an automatic wash with brushes. They will scratch the coating and void your warranty.
    • No Harsh Chemicals: Avoid high-pH degreasers, dish soap, or acidic wheel cleaners on the paint.
    • No Abrasives: Never use clay bars, polishing compounds, or abrasive sponges (like Magic Erasers) on the coated surface.
    • No Traditional Wax: Do not apply carnauba wax over the coating. It will mask the coating's hydrophobic properties and attract dust.

    The Perfect Wash Process

    01

    Pre-Wash (Snow Foam)

Apply a pH-neutral snow foam to the dry vehicle and let it dwell for 3-5 minutes. This lifts heavy dirt without touching the paint. Rinse thoroughly with a pressure washer.

    02

    Wheels First

Clean the wheels and tires using dedicated wheel brushes and cleaners. Do this before washing the paint to avoid splashing brake dust onto clean panels.

    03

    Contact Wash

Using the two-bucket method and a microfiber mitt, gently wash the vehicle from top to bottom. Do not apply pressure; let the mitt glide over the surface.

    04

    Final Rinse & Dry

Rinse the vehicle thoroughly. Dry using a large, plush microfiber drying towel or an air blower. Do not let tap water air-dry on the surface to prevent mineral spotting.

    Annual Inspection

To maintain your warranty and ensure maximum performance, we recommend an annual inspection and decontamination wash. We will remove embedded iron particles and apply a ceramic booster (like Gtechniq EXOv5 or C2v3) to rejuvenate the hydrophobic properties.
