T&C AND WARRANTY

TERMS OF SERVICE AND WARRANTY

The Terms and Conditions set forth below comprise the agreement (“Agreement“) between you and Tintawindow (“Tint A Window“), a use of our tinting service (the “Service“) which is available through https://tintawindow.com.au (the “Site“).

GENERAL

Tint A Window reserves the right to refuse service to anyone.

AUTOMOTIVE

Tint A Window personnel, in the course of performing their tasks, do not hold accountability for things of value left in the cars by the customers. They’re not also held responsible for damage existing before the task, for non-factory sourced parts, custom accessories, damage to electric antennas that don’t retract and any other damage to alterations or modifications in and on the vehicles which hinder proper installation of tint.

The vehicle beds should have no debris or litter when the staff start work and lockouts caused by security alarms will not be deemed their fault. All the services could have additional charges and the results and costs to the customer will be based on the size, type and condition of the car. The listed prices are subject to changes without prior announcement. Tint A Window will not be accountable for damage claims after the vehicle has left the perimeters of Tint A Window property. If the vehicle is a SUV, TRUCK, VAN OR LARGE TRUCK, EXPECT EXTRA CHARGES.

PERFECT INSTALLATION

It is not guaranteed that a tint application will be 100% free of particles even though all tint is carefully applied. This is because static and floating particles can’t be avoided, whether indoors or outdoors.

DARK, LIMO, BLACKOUT TINT FILMS

Dark, Limo and Blackout films have higher heat absorption rates, so they are considered higher risk films. Glass temperature and expansion is unavoidable when there is heat present, so Tint A Window can’t be held responsible for broken glass. Therefore, whenever there is a customer request for Dark, Limo and Blackout films, they don’t have warranty against glass breakage.

BEST MATCH

At the time of the inspection before beginning the task, we will determine the film type that is the Best Match to the existing colored glass or film. It will not be an exact match, but it will be based on Tint A Window professional opinion and available films.

CLIENT SIZES

The film that will be cut and ordered will be based on the sizes requested by the client. Any discrepancies or errors discovered later onsite can effect a change order for new materials, a new trip to the supplier and additional labor hours.
In this situation, the client will be liable for restocking fee (20%) and any other new costs which will be incurred after the discrepancies are discovered.
Please be careful with the size estimates and choice of film before signing the job order.

WEATHER CONDITIONS

Weather conditions have a lot to do with the successful interior installation of window film. Tint A Window will have the final decision on whether to install window film on particular days which have inclement weather.
In particular, wind, rain, humidity and dew will negatively affect quality of installation.

FADING

Fading means the natural occurrence of deterioration of materials over a period of time. Window film installation doesn’t guarantee 100% prevention of fading, even though it can lower the rate of fading.

ORDER CANCELLATIONS

Since window coverings are ordered and then cut based on job size and client selection, they cannot be used for another job order. Therefore, orders canceled after the booking within 24 hours of booking will have a $50 fee.

REMOVAL PROCESS

Tint A Window is a professional service which strives to perform to the highest standards possible for window film installation and removal. But there will always be imperfections in the glass or even glass breakage. There is also the possibility, when removing or replacing rear window with defroster that the defroster lines will be damaged.

Therefore, Tint A Window will not be liable for any undesired damages that may occur during the removal or scraping process of window film.

WATER USAGE

Water is a necessary component in our business. It is used in the installation of window film and applied with a spray bottle or pressurized spray canister.
Please inform Tint A Window beforehand of any water sensitive material in the work area that needs to be removed. The company will not be liable for any damage due to contact with water and we will limit the contact of water with other surfaces, other than the vehicle glass, as much as possible.

If in the event that your tint or film is blistering, peeling or bubbling, simply contact us and we can organise to have it replaced for free after throughly inspecting the tint and issue.

Warranty is not transferable, so if you sold your vehicle then it is voided and not claimable in any circumstances. This warranty does not cover any existing damage on your car or glass or scratches on glass.

Change of mind or change of colour is not covered in this warranty in any circumstances.

There is not perfect tint installation due to floating particles in the air and overtime cars will have dirt stuck to edges of the glass or area that can’t be cleaned before tint installations – No one can chase perfect tint job, so any debris come into contact of tint while being installed, it will look like small (tiny tiny) bubbles from outside as dirt has occupied the space and that space has air, which looks like tiny bubbles. Hence 1-3% contaminations are acceptable in the tint. This is not covered in the warranty.

Any damage caused to tint by hitting the seat belt or nails is not covered under the warranty.

Ensure to not to use any harsh chemical to clean the tint, ensure to check it is tint friendly.

We don’t recommend installing Illegal tint as we advice every customer before installing, anything installed below legal limit we cannot be held liable for this as we do as customer says and we ask for customers to consent for tint darkness.

DRYING TIME

Observe your window film at about 3-5 feet, look through it, not at it. Your film will take almost 30 days to fully cure. During this time windows will appear hazy and there will be small water pockets caused by excess moisture trapped between the glass and the film forming a kind of “blister”. Do not squeegee, prod, or poke these water blisters, they will disappear once all the water has evaporated. DO NOT roll your tinted windows down until they are dry, 2-5 days, otherwise film could peel.

DUST

Dust is all around us and is next to impossible to keep out of the air. This also makes it impossible to keep out of the film. We however take every precaution to do so, we are not responsible for any dust that may show up. Some dust particles in the tint are forgiven.

SCRACTHES

Sometimes glass can have scratches/damage on the inside/outside due to general wear or tear and could be from internal/external window seals dried overtime and rubbing against the glass or just rubbing new seal, so these scratches will be quite visible once tint is applied/dried. Also, watermarks damage on the outside from rainwater will be quite visible once the glass is tinted.

DOT MATRIX

Most cars have a black ceramic ‘frit’ edge on the rear window. Sometimes this ceramic edge is straight and flat, sometimes it will have a dotted edge. These black ceramic dots are quite thick on most cars and prevent the window film from sticking to the area between the dots. This results in a whitish looking strip trimming the glass. Typically this isn’t very noticeable, however some cars have a wide band of dots trimming the top of the rear window. This area is so wide that the whitish looking area created is more pronounced. Unfortunately, the effect is unavoidable.

TINTING OVER OLD TINT

Yes, you can tint over old tint, but any imperfections in the old tint will be more visible as the glass is getting darker. Also, for the new tint, the warranty will be voided as when the old tint fails it will ruin the new tint as well.

CLEANING CARE

The car can be washed from the outside or cleaned from the inside. But do not clean the glass from the inside, as cleaning rug can rip the tint. Also, do not use cleaning harsh chemicals, they can damage the tint. Also, do not use harsh scrubing pads on the glass, as it can scratch the tint. Ammonia products should not be used.

HARMONIC DISTORTION

If you are wearing polarized sunglasses or glasses, you may be seeing anomalies on the glass, (rainbows, lines, or marks are a few examples) which are an inherent result of the glass tempering processes. Tint A Window is not responsible for these anomalies. If you wish to have the tint removed there will be an additional fee.

LEGAL

As per Victorian laws for tinting, it is ILLEGAL to tint the front driver, front passenger windows below 35%, and rear windows, rear windshield below 20%, and front windshield no tint allowed. We are NOT responsible for any tickets or accidents that may happen due to dark/illegal tint. If the tint needs to be removed, there will be an additional fee.

WARRANTY VOIDED

Our Warranty will be voided if someone or yourself tried to fix the tint or issue. or Tint has been removed without showing us the issue or tint has been tinted over with new tint.

Anything has been stuck to tint and damage has been caused by that something attached to it, is not covered under the warranty.
